Frequently Asked Questions
-
If you're new to Pilates—or new to our studio—we recommend beginning with one of our introductory offerings. Depending on your experience, goals, and movement history, this may be a New Client Evaluation, New Client Package, or Reformer Beginner Series. These sessions provide a strong foundation, help you become familiar with the equipment and our teaching style, and allow us to recommend the best path forward for you.
-
Not at all! Many of our clients begin with little or no Pilates experience. We welcome beginners and will guide you every step of the way. Our introductory sessions are designed to help you build confidence, learn the fundamentals, and feel comfortable before joining regular classes.
-
In many cases, yes. We frequently work with clients managing back pain, joint concerns, scoliosis, osteoporosis, post-surgical recovery, pregnancy and postpartum changes, and other movement-related conditions.
While Pilates can be an excellent complement to your healthcare, it's not a substitute for medical treatment. If you have a significant injury or medical condition, we recommend discussing exercise with your healthcare provider before beginning. We'll also tailor your sessions to meet your individual needs and comfort level.
-
Starting something new can feel intimidating, but our goal is to make your first experience welcoming, comfortable, and enjoyable. We keep our introductory sessions intentionally supportive so you can ask questions, learn at your own pace, and build confidence before joining regular classes. No matter your age, experience, or fitness level, you'll be met with patience, encouragement, and individualized guidance.
-
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Fitted athletic wear works best so your instructor can observe your movement and provide accurate feedback. Grip socks are required for all studio sessions and are available for purchase if you don't already own a pair.
-
Free parking is available in the lot outside the building. Once inside, take the elevator or stairs to the third floor. If you're visiting for the first time, we recommend arriving about 10 minutes early so you have plenty of time to get settled.
