What to Expect

In this session, you will be introduced to the fundamental skills of classical pilates. We will be observing movements in an effort to determine the appropriate skill level. You will begin with mat work and then transition to a brief introduction on the reformer equipment. Before the start of this session, we will have an opportunity to discuss your personal goals, any injuries, and ask questions you may have. The purpose of this session is to get you feeling comfortable with the Pilates basics in an effort to set you up for success in your personal practice.

This class is best suited for those who are new to pilates or seek a more deliberate-paced class. Together we will learn the classical repertoire, and how breath and pace can inform your form. You will build ownership and knowledge about your bodies through specific cues and imagery.

We highly encourage new students to schedule a new client intro package or new student evaluation. This is a great way to evaluate your body and set you up for the most success in class.

This class is best suited for those who have past pilates experience or consistent personal practice. An understanding of the classical repertoire is expected. The class will be faster paced and students will enjoy being challenged by new concepts and exercises.
